How to Become a Member:

Thank you for your interest in QHBA membership. The QHBA is the leading voice of residential construction in the Quinte Region and beyond.   The strength of our voice depends on you, industry professionals as valued members.  

In order to be considered for QHBA Membership, you will need to complete an application. Please consider that the application MUST include a current member sponsor.  Once your application has been received and verified, it will be submitted for approval to QHBA's Board of Directors, and you will be informed of the results. As a member of the QHBA, and by extension, OHBA (Ontario Home Builders' Association) and CHBA (Canadian Home Builders' Association), you will be bound by the Association's Code of Ethics, Conduct, Constitution and By-Laws.

The Membership term is from November 1 - October 31 each year. Pro-rations of membership fees on new applications are only available after April 30 in each year.  Cancellations are only accepted in writing, with 30 days' notice of the termination date to info@quintehomebuilders.com. Membership renewals are automatic, and members are responsible for fees up to and including the 30-day notification period of cancellation. If you wish not to renew for the new fiscal year, you must notify us no later than Sept 30 in the year you wish to cancel.

2023/2024 Membership Fees

QHBA *Builder or Developer Membership:             $1,330.00 + HST 

         +   *Builder Developer Advocacy Fund (currently a flat Fee) $500 + HST

         Total Builder Developer Membership Cost     $1830 + HST Annually

QHBA Membership:                                                 $1,280.00 + HST

*includes all Builder members with a registered HCRA number *Advocacy Fund is mandatory and a condition of membership.  The fund is managed by the Builder Developer Advisory Group. 

Note that the Board has approved an annual increase based on annual avg. CPI (ON) and the rates each year will reflect this. In addition, any increases at the provincial and national association level will be included in annual membership rates.

RenoMark Membership: All licensed renovators/contractors could qualify to become certified RenoMark Renovator. Please contact us for more information or visit RenoMark.ca for more information on the requirements on becoming a RenoMark Renovator. 

The QHBA reserves the right to decline any membership application, and Board decisions on membership are final and binding.  Applicants who are approved will be notified via email with a new member package.  Please note that Membership is not finalized until payment has cleared. Applicants who have been declined by the Board will be notified in writing.
